Ahead of their highly-anticipated M72 World Tour stop in Minneapolis, MN, Metallica today revealed a Metallica Takeover, featuring a full-day of Metallica-themed activities for fans to enjoy on Saturday, August 17.

Occurring in between Metallica's M72 World Tour 2024 two-show stop at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN, on Friday, August 16, 2024, and Sunday, August 18. A very limited amount of single-day tickets for August 16 and August 18 are available HERE.

 

The Metallica Takeover activities include:

  • Bowling Takeover at Memory (Re) Lanes, 2520 26th Avenue S, Minneapolis, MN, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. 93X and Metallica crew invite fans out for a day of bowling featuring a live performance by Metallica cover band "And ONE for All" on the lanes at 8 p.m. This is a non-ticketed event.   • The Black Album in Black & White with Photographer Ross Halfin, Minneapolis Institute of Art, 2400 3rd Avenue S, Minneapolis, MN, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Tickets are required and available at HERE.
  • Bastardane & OTTTO, Varsity Theater, 1308 SE 4th Street,, Minneapolis, MN, beginning at 7 p.m. Live in concert. Tickets are required and available HERE.
  • Metallica Film Fest, Riverview Theater, 3800 42nd Avenue S, Minneapolis, MN, beginning at 11 a.m. featuring screenings of the epic films "Cliff 'Em All," "Cunning Stunts" and "Orgullo, Pasion Y. Gloria: Tres Notes En La Ciudad De Mexico." Tickets are required and available HERE.
  • Metallica Takeover at Smash Park in Roseville, MN, from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. featuring free axe throwing and a Metallica Name That Tune to win tickets to U.S. Bank Stadium. This is a free, non-ticketed event.

Presented worldwide by Liquid Death and Blackened American Whiskey and promoted by Live Nation, Metallica’s M72 world tour will see the band playing two nights in every city it visits—with each No Repeat Weekend featuring two completely different setlists and support lineups. The M72 tour will feature a bold new in-the-round stage design that relocates the famed Metallica Snake Pit to center stage, as well as the I Disappear full-tour pass.

A portion of proceeds from every ticket sold will go to the band’s All Within My Hands foundation. Founded in 2017, AWMH’s efforts to assist and enrich the lives of members of the communities who have supported the band have raised over $18 million – providing $10.5 million in grants to career and technical education programs in the US, over $3.9 million to combat food insecurity, and more than $4.2 million to disaster relief efforts worldwide.
